What is job of Electrical Site Engineer (SE)......

     The term electrical Site Engineer (SE) is basically related with electrical installation. It may be of electrical Generation, Transmission, Distribution and Consumption. If you are thinking for this job profile as a career for you then, you should must have some basic skills like smartness (not by look), talkativeness. If you have hidden ambition to become electrical contractor (self employment), willingness for working beyond normal work hours (This is not 9 am to 6 pm job,average working hours of site engineer is about 12 hrs). If you are ready to work under pressure and dusty climate (dirty shoes and clothes don't bother you). As a site engineer you must have willing to travel whole country or world.

Real estate mainly consisting of Housing project. In real estate project electrical engineer is as important as civil engineer. He/She may be MEP engineer (Mechanical,Electrical  & Plumbing) from builder or Site engineer from sub electrical contractor. 

2) Commercial Project:

Airport 

Commercial project mainly consisting of IT offices, banks, Airports, buildings,  shopping Malls, Hospitals, big IT park. IT office project some time called Interior fit out project as decoration and lighting is main concern here for essence look.

 

 

3) Industrial Project:

    Industrial project consisting of electrical installation of manufacturing plant like Pharmaceutical, Auto manufacturing,steel plant etc.

 

4) Highway Project:

   

Toll plaza

In highway project there is requirement of electrical engineer site engineer for toll plaza, Streetlight  installation.

Toll plaza & Highway maintenance staff's quarters electrical installation.

 

5) Electrical Generation:

            Electrical generation consisting of installation thermal power plant, Solar                   power plant, Hydro power plant, wind turbine installation.

         6) Electrical Transmission: 

                      Government organization like Power grid, Maharashtra Transmission gives                     tender for installation of Transmission line to private firms. For the installation of                 transmission line tower, transformers and structure there is requirement of                             electrical site engineer.

          7) Electrical distribution:

              For electrification for city, rural area under scheme like DDUGJY ( Deen                          Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana) , RGGVY (Rajiv Gandhi Grameen                              Vidyutikaran Yojana) there is requirement of electrical site engineer for installation.
